Danny’s filming guide
Talk to the camera like one new sales rep is sitting in front of you. Teach the lesson and physically demonstrate it.
Phone setup
- Use an iPhone.
- Use the rear camera.
- Film in landscape.
- Set the camera to 4K at 24 fps.
- Put the phone on a tripod at eye level.
- Use a quiet room and face a window or soft light.
- Record the raw video. Do not edit it.
Use this format for every video
- Say the lesson name and what the rep will learn.
- Say the customer-facing script exactly as the rep should say it.
- Show every physical step slowly enough to copy.
- Show the most common mistake and how to correct it.
- End with what the rep must be able to do before using the lesson in the field.
If you make a mistake, stop for two seconds and start that sentence again. Do not restart the whole video.
